Story Telling
i think Brad Peyton is a genius at storytelling in film making. If you're lucky then you know him from the "What Its Like Being Alone" series. He has a great way of making morbid and dark seem normal and light hearted. Its also why i enjoy Tim Burton so much, or Barry's Sonnenfeld's "Addams Family" and the like. The added plus with Brad Peyton is that he's Canadian.
anyway, i was watching tv today when i saw another short by Peyton called "Evelyn: The Cutest Evil Dead Girl". Its a fabulous story, about 8 minutes. In a culture of catering to the masses with shows that are as generic and form fitting as possible, its nice to watch something that's creative and non-generic.
