way past acceptable, straight into pissed off

i don't know if anyone cares, but in case anyone was wondering my camera has not yet been fixed, and its been out for repair with Best Buy for 9 weeks.

YES, I SAID 9 WEEKS. 9 FRIGGIN WEEKS. 9 WEEKS WHICH INCLUDED REUNION PARTIES (PICTURES 0), BIRTHDAY PARTIES (PICTURES 0), BABY SHOWERS (PICTURES 0), AND OH YEAH, A WEDDING (PICTURES TAKEN WITH ANOTHER CAMERA, BUT STILL).

so, yeah, i will never be buying anything from best buy again. i have called them 3 times asking about it. noone was able to say anything except that they'd have someone call me back within a day (they called the next day), and within the week (still waiting).

just to point out, i will now be spending my money elsewhere. in the past i have bought a LOT of stuff from them. no more, i'm taking it somewhere that they will appreciate all my money and will actually give some concern about getting something fixed, or, at the very least, calling me back.

Do you really Need another reason to hate Big Business?

So it appears that there's another move happening that adds to the list of why i hate Big Business. Not only do we now have net neutrality to worry about, but the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) is on the move and targeting internet Radio: "In a decision that could drive the nail in the coffin to Internet radio providers, the U.S. Copyright Royalty Board has endorsed a proposal by SoundExchange to enact royalty rates for webcasts and streaming music sites that will stay in effect from 2006 until 2010. SoundExchange, the royalty collecting division of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), will seek to retroactively charge webcasters for streaming content delivered throughout 2006 to users, a decision that could send the sites packing for good. The new rates will require webcasters to pay for each song streamed to each user, and will increase yearly.." (Joe Lewis).

i love internet radio (local and otherwise). its a great way to find music, eliminate all the junk that's on regular radio, and i absolutely refuse to pay for satellite radio (sirius etc). i especially love going thru itunes to find great radio sites. and i'm not sure if the music industry doesn't realize but listening to internet radio exposes you to new music, which in turn may inspire you to actually buy the cd of an artist that you might not have ever heard before b/c as we all know, traditional radio only plays what's popular. i like listening to internet radio that plays stuff i've never heard before. Its just another reason to hate the music industry.
