tired of dealing with BS

seriously, when does the bs stop. i had opened up an account with a credit union, and when you do that, you have to put in a deposit that they keep till you close the account. so i put in the $25. ok, so then i go and close the account a couple of weeks later (found a much better banking solution) and i wait for them to send me the cheque for the $25. so, here's the catch- they send me a cheque for $18.50. HELLO??????????? what the hell????????? where did my $6.50 go?????????? did it just magically disappear??? did inflation go up in the couple of weeks???? did i imagine that i put in $25 and had some mental lapse???? NO- and i mean NO!!!!! so where did it go? well, i'll tell you. now, you have to remember that i was in the bank when i closed it. ok. so, i was informed by the credit union representative that they took the $6.50 b/c that's what it cost to process the cheque and send it to my house. WHAT THE HELL???????? i think i remember being in the damn credit union. and couldn't have given it to me then???? so i bitched (actually- i was busy so my mother bitched) to them, and swore a little, and, well, it wasn't pretty. but, i got my money back. and, say it with me - it wasn't the $6.50- it was the ........... yes, the PRINCIPLE. i have become that person that you hate (if you ever worked in retail you know who i mean). and i'm not apologizing for it.

quotes of the day

ok, so here are some quotes for my friends

"If you're going to do something tonight that you'll be be sorry for tomorrow morning, sleep late." - this is for alex for next friday night

"I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception."
Groucho Marx. - that's for my girls at humber.... i'm sure you know who i think is the ugliest person and who that quote is about

"The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans [or canadians] are suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they're okay, then it's you."
Rita Mae Brown. - DAMN, i think that person is me

There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors.
-- Jim Morrison -that's to mags, the one person that actually opens all the doors

Not by wrath does one kill, but by laughter.
-- Friedrich Nietzsche - that's to adj, the funniest person i know

The problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind.
-- Humphrey Bogart- that's for nancy cause i know you know what that feels like

I love him, O yes I do,
He's for me, not for you,
And if by chance you take my place,
I'll take my fist and smash your face! -for all my friends who are in love he he

---------------------and finally-----------

The ability to quote is a serviceable substitute for wit.
-- Somerset Maugham - OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TO BE CONTINUED..........

$50,000 Question

ok, i'm totally HOOKED on Fear Factor. it's the only reality tv that i'll watch. maybe b/c they actually have to DO SOMETHING worth some interest. the best part of the show is the part that they have to eat something incredibly disgusting. it's amazing what people will do for money. so, here's the question for the evening. what would you be willing to eat for $50,000????? here are some choices: coagulated blood and bile pizza, raw bull member with the hair still on it, sausage made with live worms still inside the skin??? yeah. ok. i know that i'm materialistic, but i'm going with none of the above. what about you?

Just a Little Rant

I'm sure that you can all agree on this with me. i'm so sick of those self righteous random people that cross your life that feel that they have some business- no, they feel that they have the god given right, to get into an aspect of your life and put in their two cents worth (and it's not even worth that much). seriously, get out of my life if i didn't invite you in. get a life of your own. and while you're at it - GET HALF A BRAIN. i'm not going to do what they say just b/c they say so (cause they have some random good for nothing title someone gave them that makes them some form of supposed authority). get over yourself, nobody cares.

I"m a genius- haha

ok, so i had to stay up late a couple of nights, but i was determined, and i finally did it. i figured out how to turn on and work bluetooth on my acer tablet pc(which rocks by the way). so now i have a small personal bluetooth network going at home between my tablet pc, my pocketpc, and my cell phone. this is amazing. i can update my hp pocket pc from the other room. and, if i absolutely need to, i can be in class and get on the internet on my pc thru my phone. the times they are a changin' my friend.

coming events

these are the next big events in my life. email or call for scheduling times.
scholarship presentation -jan week of the 17th
alex's 21st -jan weekend of the 21st (big party will have pics)
reading week- not sure yet adj but will find out soon and will call
off work this coming weekend, so the 14th, and every second weekend
(trina come down to the city-i still have you stuff and i'm holding it
hostage)
feb- heading to ottawa for sure

ok, now, i need to share what a geek i am. ask me what my excitement
for the day was. i actually (no serious true story) got really
excited today b/c i finally got to buy the right vacuum cleaner to
clean the house (the other one i just bought is basically a really
expensive broom cause it didn't vacuum anything off the carpets but
it's great on floors. now, i ask you this (and this is specifically
directed to those that know we well and for a while- fam and from
party days at B.U). WHEN DID MY LIFE CHANGE SO MUCH THAT I ACTUALLY
STARTED TO BE EXCITED ABOUT PURCHASING THE RIGHT VACUUM AND BEING ABLE
TO CLEAN MY PLACE????? this isn't funny (well, it's a little funny).
so, i need you all to rally around me and help. and my solution is a)
going down ot ottawa to celebrate new years in feb with mags and jay.
b) adj just won her settlement (WOO-HOO) and you're coming down to T.O
or i'm coming to VAN, c) alex's big b-day extravaganza. the answer,
people, is obvious. ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Alex's B-day

ok, so the excitment of the moment is alex's upcoming 21st. woo-hoo. got the club to her friends (DNA) downtown toronto, and it's gonna be sweet. and as alex says, she has to celebrate hard cause after 21, what other b-day would you be excited about (OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!)??? man, do i remember being that age anymore??? but, 21 was the last to look forward to birthday, that's true. i kinda avoided the 25th, and 30 is coming, and i'm staying way away from that (in fact, let's just forget it altogether cause i'm going to be 29 for a LONG time). so, alex, here's to 21. we're gonna party hard. may you have the best time, and i hope that your year, and the ones to follow are filled with friendship, love, lots of laughs, limited tears, and lots of.. well...
i love you, and i'll be there with bells on. to a not so tactful, drunken hilarious blur of a night, CHEERS.

Just a quick update

ok, so, just a quick update. some people have taken it upon themselves to agree with me in regards to me being a geek (nancy, being the friend that you are, always with the truth, even took it upon herself to say so in writing on the site- muah ha ha). just in case anyone is holding their breath in anticipation wondering, i wanted to let you know that the vacuum works awesome. HA HA HA. i know you wanted to know.

The Onion

For anyone needing a laugh about politics or just social issues, you should really check out "the onion" on my links. it's the funniest "satirical", and politically incorrect FAKE newspaper ever made. it's just a nice way to LIGHTEN UP and not take life so seriously. i've been reading this since first year university and i've "learned" a lot. thanks adrienne for enlightening me back then (probably thru a drunken stupar in which the site was even funnier than when you're sober- remember Get Up or Get Get Get Down debate?)

ok, so this was my purchase for the day. it's the HP 8150 Photosmart printer, and it prints great photos-clear and you get to pick the size that you want to print, up to 8x10. and you can print transparencies, iron-ons, and it has bluetooth so i can print right off my pda or cell phone (mind you i need the adapter). it's a great new toy. I guess my scholarship needed to go to something right? joke.

we HAD to go for thai right away. and it was great.

for anyone interested in the world around them. you have to go to the following link and read the transcripts from this show. party in february

ok, so i missed new year's eve. yeah, that's right. i was SICK in bed watching movies and eating cotton candy (couldn't even have alcohol cause i was seriously drugged). so i watched my movies, couldn't distinguish between dream and reality, and fell asleep. So, here's my vow, especially to mags and jay. Hopefully in February, i'm going to ottawa, we're going out to a club or busy pub, and we're celebrating new year's. i'm wearing a "2005 new years eve" hat, i'm dressing up, and i'm getting drunk. and at some point in the night (provided i've had enough to drink) i'm going to cheer "happy new year". that's right ppl, i have to have some form of new years, even if it happens in february.

and i just realized that i have to be back at school in less than a week. i thought i had more time, man time flies. can't wait to see the girls (hi kat, reeta, alex, chels), but could stand without some of the other stuff (some of you know what i mean). and i'm looking for a new job, hate that.
and, believe it or not, because i was sick, and still haven't seen some friends, i still have christmas gifts to buy. yeah, i know. i'm the QUEEN of procrastination. though this time, i have a legitimate excuse.

and in a little over a weeks time, i'll be able to post some news. can't say yet but stay tuned.

thanks nance for pushing me to do this. so much easier to post a blog then writing emails to everyone, and seems a little nicer than a 'general' bulk email to everyone i know.

welcome back alex from VEGAS (the real one- not from the bubble vegas of lennox for all you B.U. students and alumni).

Bier Markt rocks. get there early to get some seating- but go there - run!!!!!  Posted by Hello
